Warrenton and A Fall Giveaway~

Well, I'm back! Sorry for the delay in posting on the Warrenton Fall show but I decided to take some time off from blogging for awhile to re-coup. As you can imagine when you've been gone for 2 weeks straight things can get very busy around the house. As soon as I got back I had to catch up on all the cleaning, washing, etc. and of course spending time with my family. My daughter showed her pig at the County Fair this week and tonight is the auction. Many great things happening for her and I don't want to miss out on anything. She will be in high school next year and then off to college...where does the time go!
Aside from being almost washed away with all the rain this was a very interesting show. I'm sure that every dealer that was set-up in Warrenton and anyone else that attended the Fall Show for that matter has a story or two to tell about this show. I wanted to do something different to kick the Fall season off right. So, I'm doing a giveaway that involves everyone...not only if you were there or not...tell me your most interesting story during that 2 week span and I will pick my favorite and post about it and send you a gift.
How does that sound! Well...what are you waiting for?
Here's a few pics of my booth....and I do mean a few! I lost most of the pictures on my camera....don't ask me how...they're just gone!
Enjoy!
Can't wait to hear from everyone!

  1. Hey Lisa, I understand what you mean about taking time off! Glad you're back. The most interesting or maybe funniest of the show was the last day, it rained so hard, but even though I was frustrated about that I never laughed so hard at Jose. He dressed up in black trash bags to help others load and I told him he looked like he was ready for Halloween. I'll do a post to show you how funny he looked!

  3. I am glad you're back. I've been checking and checking to see if you had posted...and walla! Love to see more pics of your area! Anyway, while I didn't get to go this Fall to Warrenton...Spring looks good for me. So while you were being drowned in the rain, this is my story in a nut cup. I ate a cracker, choked, couldn't breathe, got the heimlic, broke two ribs....fun fun fun

  5. I can only imagine how that show wore everyone out. The collecting, the packing the display and the rain. But over and over again I hear the fun and it makes me look so forward to that day someday.

  6. Warrenton is usually a girls weekend, been going for just shy of 20 years now. The very first time we went, my three daughters were just babies, they're all in their 20's now. My very sweet and understanding husband came with me on that very first adventure and he hasn't been since, until... this fall. He decided he would tag along. We parked behind the Old Depot and with four women it takes time to get your shopping cart together make sure you've got your cute beer coozie and your boots just right before you ever leave the car. My husband gets out of the car, sees that it will take some time to get this brood of hens ready to shop and he walks away. Literally not more than eight minutes from the car, we have already lost him, we don't know which direction he has headed or anything. My daughters and I look over and there are two other obvious husbands patiently waiting by their wives shopping carts, and I asked them where could I have possibly gone wrong with my man gone missing in a matter of minutes. He found us shortly, but the whole day went like this. He would wander off, then return and say, "I know I'm gonna regret this, but you girls need to take a look in this booth, I know there's something your gonna want to see.
It really is a girls weekend out, but it was so nice for it to be a family weekend out for a change.

    Smiles,

But, I did find out that I am going to be a grandma in the spring so that is the best story EVER! Love 'lurking' at your blog!! uffda_68787@yahoo.com

  12. Love your blog, I am now going to be a faithful follower. You are so lucky to live in a part of the US where one can still go to flea markets after the the summer months are over! I so miss them!

My two weeks were just everyday ordinary two weeks. I had four kids getting over H1N1 the beginning of those two weeks, (one went to the hospital) had two football games, two soccer games, one tennis match, my rooster died, so we had a "pretend" funeral for him~ good excuse for 16 year olds to dress up as goth girls, played hide and go seek in the dark, (one 16 year old got stuck up in a tree) then topped the second weekend off with a bonfire. It was all our fairly ordinary life, but do we laugh a lot around here! Trying to capture those last moment with all the kids still around!
